Device contained in a lined wooden case with a spoon. It has metal cylinders wtih glass lenses, held by a spindle-shaped handle. An interior screw adjusts its length on scale ranging from 0 to 40. The top of the device has a small funnel for introducing a small amount of milk. The device determines how much fat is contained in the milk based on the opacity that can be observed through the lenses.
