Teaching instrument from the Royal College of Pharmacy of Saint Victorian (1815-1840), stored in a wooden box measuring 20 × 20 × 3.8 cm. The cover has a fire-etched coat of arms that attests to the compass belonging to the College of Saint Victorian. It can be opened on the side in order to see the magnetized needle and the compass rose inside. The manufacturer's name and location are identified inside as "¿EN BARCELONA + FRANCISCO CANVA". A simple device stops the needle from moving when the box is closed.
