Housed in the Historic Building in Plaça de la Universitat, the Rare Books and Manuscripts Library contains historical documents related to the University of Barcelona dating up to the nineteenth century. At a national level and after the National Library and the Biblioteca Columbina, the reserve is the third largest collection of its kind in its collection of incunabula, and, after the National Library, the second largest in terms of its printed material from the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries.
